Forest City Soccer Club is now seeking experienced, competitive minded players for the 2012 MMSL Men's outdoor soccer season. Forest City will have two teams for the upcoming outdoor season, and is looking to fill vacancies in all positions. Details are as follows:
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be 50 or older in 2011 for 50+ team / 35 or older in 2011 for 35+ team
· Must be physically active, fit and in good health
· Must be skilled and have experience playing competitive soccer (indoor or outdoor)
· Must be committed to weekly game and practice schedule
The outdoor pre-season will start in April/May depending on weather.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- 11 vs. 11 (inclusive of keeper) game format
- Two 35-minute halves in 50+ division / two 40-minute halves in 35+ division
- Exhibition games, regular season games and League Cup tournament
- Home games played on Tuesday for 50+ team / Friday evenings for 35+ team; away games on various week nights
- Weekly outdoor practices currently held on Tuesday evenings
Successful candidates will be:
· Required to register and pay a registration fee
· Provided with a team uniform
· Required to purchase outdoor soccer cleats and shin pads
· Eligible to participate in one of Forest City’s Indoor Soccer teams in 2012
Interested individuals will be invited to participate in our weekly practices/assessments on Sunday evenings at 7pm.
