Hello, my name is Alex McVittie. I am a 17 year old high school student, and I play tenor sax. I have been playing saxophone for 6 years now, and have had many experiences and performances that has helped me grow as a player, such as  
- Being in Laurier SS's jazz band and concert band for 4 years
- Working with More More (Small London rock band - working out sustained horn lines)
- Playing in the concert band for Kiwanis
- Playing in a saxophone quartet at Laurier and earning silver at Kiwanis
- Was in the 2011 TVDSB Honour Jazz Band as 2nd tenor sax
     This experience included:
- Improvising a solo at the 2011 Variety Is concert at the JLC
- Playing at Maggie's Supper and Jazz club
I am back in the TVDSB honour jazz band once more, this time as 1st tenor saxophone this year. Being first tenor, you get many more solo opportunities than being second tenor. So far we have performed at Variety Is, and, like last year, performed a solo.

The TVDSB honour jazz band is a collection of the best jazz musicians in high school across the TVDSB school board.

Currently, I busk on Richmond Street when the weather isn't too terrible or my homework load isn't too large. During the spring, summer and fall I play outside of the Western Fair farmers market from 9 till 11 AM on Saturdays. Please let me know if you are interested in my service as a musician.
